The 3 Mistakes of My Life – Chetan Bhagat

The 3 Mistakes of My Life – Chetan Bhagat

My room mate Tiru showed me this book saying that His friend gifted it.

Having heard about Chetan Bhagat for his previous successful books,

I plunged and took the book; Started reading... it starts with an interesting event, but wont hold for long.. soon I felt boring..

After two days. On a Sunday evening.. I took the book again.. and flipped few pages and I found Viday’s episode. hum.. interesting

Pages just flew away, finished the book at 1:20AM. Felt Refreshing…

Characters Govind , Ishaan , Omi, Vidya, Ali, Bittoo Mama are very realistic; one can easily identify and feel what characters felt.

Situations are well explained.. its like a movie narration.

I guess Chetan Bhagat has planned while writing the book.

Linking of Word Cup match, Godhra riot, Gujarat Earthquake etc..

Issues and the reflection on a common man, gives a realistic experience.

BUT:

I’m still not convinced why Govind (a practical business man) has to suicide 2yars later his 3 Mistakes, and why he sent mail to the Writer.

Govind who calls himself as an agnostic, says THANK GOD many times.

Some times his comments sound like alien

Why Omi has to die..

As Paulo Coelho said, when a Book was made as a Movie it always fails to satisfy or meet the reader’s expectations. As every reader crates a Movie of his own imagination and lives with the Characters. When one find his favorite book as movie, rather will be disappointed.

Overall this book makes a good reading. It was clearly communicated to the Reader that despite of Big or Small mistakes one can be successful ...I liked it..
