The White Tiger from Aravind Adiga

The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga

A 2008 Booker award winner

I’ve just read the book to find out how it got the booker award, but frankly I felt its not worth it.

I’ve spent my money , time and energy, this book does not satisfy me. I’m terribly disappointed.

Its not reality nor fiction, away from reality and not even close to fiction.

The language used is not good at all. Half way through the book,

I felt like I’m reading a years old news paper.

I’ve suggested my friends not to go for this book.

The Zahir by Paulo Coelho

The Zahir - A Novel of Obsession
The Zahir - A Novel of Obsession
The Zahir - A Novel of Obsession

one more Great Novel from Great author Paulo Coelho

Zahir is about pilgrimage. Additional themes are love, loss and obsession.

The Zahir means 'the obvious' or 'unable to go unnoticed' in Arabic.

the narrator's journey from Paris to Kazakhstan, Coelho explores various meanings of love and life.

It took a long time for me to read this novel, as its very difficult for me to  understand and experience the intense feeling of Love and Obsession what author is expressing, as I don't have any girl in my life yet, I guess I will read it once again when I think I'm capable of understanding.

"Vijayaniki Aidu Metlu" (SUCCESS IN FIVE STEPS) by Yandamoori Veerendranath

Yandamoori Veerendranath...

A spectacular writer of all times, one of a kind,

our Grandparents red his writings,

our parents studied his novels,

and we are adoring them.

Novels, fiction , nonfiction , movies, stories, TV serials, Self help books, physiology , NLP, etc. etc.. no limit for him.

During my Summer vacations, after my intermediate 1styear exams, my neighbor, Mr. Raju garu suggested me to read this book.

The Book Title "Vijayaniki Aidu Metlu" (SUCCESS IN FIVE STEPS)

This Book has broken the all-time record of Telugu literature, by crossing a turnover of Rupees Ten Million.

The intro of the book says this is not a regular novel, if are selfish and can spend time and want Change in life only then proceed to read.

I’ve started reading and frankly couldn’t complete it, I felt that I’m becoming too selfish, wondering why? Read it your self :-)

You know what... Once you start Reading Yandamoori's , you get addicted,

More Books of , Yandamoori Veerendranath...

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

I've red the book and heard the 20min short audio and complete Book converted to audio is also very good.

our company's (msys-tech.com) CEO Mr Vijay,got really inspired by this book and audio,  he provided the audio sessions in our

office, allocating 30 to 40 mins a day. Having read the book and heard the short audio, I have

appreciated the chance to listen to the complete audio of the 7 Habits, and it once does the

paradigm shift, and leads us the way of healthy Habits. I’m totally convened with the Author. Its

like a reference book to many Self Help books which came later. I took a detail notes.

And refer to it when ever I need help.

If you have already red it Share your comments here :

If you have not read it yet, get hold of it right now..

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

 I’ve got this book from on of my colleague, having heard about the book I’ve started reading the first few pages, and I kept reading it in the Bus back to my room, and kept reading over night, I’ve finished the book around 2AM,

and felt very inspired. I don’t find the difference between Me (a Software Engineer) and the Santiago (a Sheppard), “its all the same”, I’d suggest everyone to read it. And follow your Dreams.

Notes to Myself by Hugh Prather

“Notes to Myself - My sturggle to become a person ” by Hugh Prather.

When I first began trying to be myself, I at times felt trapped by my feelings. I through that I was stuck with feelings I had, that I couldn’t change them, and should’nt try to even if I could. I saw many negative feelings inside me that I didn’t want, and yet I felt that I must express them if I were going to be myself.

Sri Shobha Raju Dharshanam

Sri Shobha Raju Dharshan:

I went to Tirumala for my relatives marriage, I didn’t plan to go for Swamy

Dharshan, its very crowded as it’s a special day 08-08-08, and CM

Rajashekhar Reddy is also visiting Tirumala on the same day, but still some

where in the corner of the heart, I couldn’t convenes myself the fact that I

cannot go to Swamy Dharshan, it was raining and cold wind is like

unbearable, still I was roaming at the temple premises, Swamy Unjal Seva

started and I heard Sri Shobha raju’s voice in the mike, I couldn’t resist

my self and went closer, but a Police stopped me and said only VIPs are

allowed. I requested him, I just sat on the ground, he didn’t deny me. i was

very happy that I got Sri Shobha raju’s Dharshan, (few years back when Sri

Shobha raju started Annamayya Bhavana vahini in Vizag I participated and got

a great chance to touch her louts feet).I never realize when the concert is

over, everyone is packing-up, Police surrounded to protect her, but I went

in,said Namaskaram Amma, and touched her Lotus feet, I guess Police though

I’m one of her group member and no one stopped me , I followed her till the

cottage. I left Tirumala with My Heart filled with full of joy and satisfaction.

Mind Without Fear @ http://www.msys-tech.com

http://www.msys-tech.com/
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up

into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stream of reason

has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action---

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

Meaning:

You Lord Shiva are my AtmA; my mind is ambikA, the daughter of the Mountain; my five prANas are the GaNas that serve you; my body is your temple; all my involvement in sensual experience is your pUjA; my sleep is the samAdhi state; my wanderings on my feet constitute Your pradakshhiNa; whatever I talk shall be your praises; whatever I do O shambho, all that shall be a propitiation of You.

Such a dedication of everything at the feet of the Lord is what is prescribed by the Lord in the Gita:
