The Zahir by Paulo Coelho

The Zahir - A Novel of Obsession
The Zahir - A Novel of Obsession
The Zahir - A Novel of Obsession

one more Great Novel from Great author Paulo Coelho

Zahir is about pilgrimage. Additional themes are love, loss and obsession.

The Zahir means 'the obvious' or 'unable to go unnoticed' in Arabic.

the narrator's journey from Paris to Kazakhstan, Coelho explores various meanings of love and life.

It took a long time for me to read this novel, as its very difficult for me to  understand and experience the intense feeling of Love and Obsession what author is expressing, as I don't have any girl in my life yet, I guess I will read it once again when I think I'm capable of understanding.

  1. Yes Paula Coelho is amazing. Even I have read both The Alchemist as well as The Zahir. Both are nice but my favourite is Zahir. Yes its true to understand Zahir one needs to experience love. Love in its every fragment. Love in its every color. Love in its every fragnance. Love is very special. When its true and not any myth one is never scared of losing it. To test it just leave it, if it comes back it was always and will always be yours and if not it never was and hence do whatever you want it will never be. Hence you tend to get obsessed with it. Nothing holds any charm. It changes everything. Its very forgiving too and hence takes us more closer to God. Believe me the person who loves another soul with such obsession will be very good at heart - for that is the wonder of this - only truth. Its blissfull. Read Zahir as you have already planned when you fall in love. You will understand it more and feel happy as well as sad. When I read Zahir I was disoriented for some time for although love is very nice its very raw
